Assisted-care service is an evidence-based practice and not conjectural. The registered nurses guide the development of each care plan, operating on such guidelines as NICE guidelines and the most recent standards in safeguarding.
That clinical rigour is backed by true companionship: carers are closely paired to personalities and interests and encourage trust and personal conversation in addition to professional service. Washing, dressing, medicine reminders and meal preparation are all administered daily in a manner that upholds dignity at all times.
Briefly, we retain individuals safe in their home environment, as close as possible to what they habitually do, what they relate to and cherish, and at the same time provide families with the assurance that professional support will be provided should they need it.
Activity reports about the visit are posted in real-time on our secure family portal, which means that the relatives can monitor what has been done and ask questions immediately. Multidisciplinary meetings on a regular basis enable us to ensure that there are changes made to the programme as health needs change before it becomes a crisis due to minor issues.
